Today is the day I have been waiting for since I found out I was pregnant – the twelve week mark! That means I am entering the “safe” second trimester, which is definitely a relief! Now I can happily share the news with the world J
Speaking of sharing the news, yesterday I told my boss of my “predicament” , a conversation that I had been dreading since I found out I was pregnant. For some reason, I felt guilty that he had just hired me to his team, and now I have to have conversations around being gone on maternity leave and having the team cover my responsibilities. But he was great, very understanding and very happy for us. We didn’t get into the nitty gritty around the plan for my leave, which is good because I’m still not sure what my plan is yet.
Fun fact: Baby is now rehearsing “breathing” by inhaling & exhaling fluid in the amniotic sac.
