Jared and I both just finished our first “Baby Books”, both borrowed to us by our amazing sister-in-law Kristin. Jared read his entire book in one day, and I didn’t even have to ask (a.k.a. force) him to look at it…he wanted to read it on his own! What a guy I’ve married, huh? J
My Book: The Girlfriend’s Guide to Pregnancy
This was a fun read to say the least. It is written in first-person by the author and talks about her and her girlfriend’s personal experiences with pregnancy (and talks about the stuff the “doctors won’t tell you”). While it was a little depressing to read at times (as the author talks about how fat I’m about to get and that I’m wasting any time working out), it was a quick, humorous read and I enjoyed every page.
This was also written in first-person by the (male) author about his own experience with his children. While Jared said it wasn’t super-informative, he said it was an entertaining read and I think he took a few nuggets out of it (e.g. He told me yesterday, “Don’t worry about an epidural, Ashley. From what I read, you will be in SO MUCH pain already that you won’t even feel it!)
