32 Weeks

Another week has passed and we're well into 32 weeks. I continue to be thankful for every week that the baby has to grow and that I still feel great! I really can't complain about anything, and my body aches & pains so far have been limited to minor tailbone pressure and heartburn. I'm still sleeping really well, and have been able to continue working out throughout my whole pregnancy, which I think will be a big help come delivery time.

Some highlights from this week:
  • Classes galore! We had two hospital classes this week: Intro to Breastfeeding and Part II of Prepared Childbirth. Jared was really hesitant (read: dreading) to go to the breastfeeding class with me, but the nurse assured him that every woman would have her "partner" with her, which was true. I learned a lot and it was nice for Jared to hear how breastfeeding will impact my schedule and change things around the house. I really want to make breastfeeding a priority, for the baby's health and mine, so I'm crossing my fingers that we both adjust to it well.

  • Jared finally saw a GP in Charlotte and got his DTaP vaccine to help protect us against protussis and whopping cough. Now he claims he's feeling sick from it, though :-/
  • I just found a 5K in Uptown Charlotte scheduled for April 20, and I've decided (with my doc's permission) that if I haven't delivered the baby by then and I'm still pretty mobile that I'm running it! I thought it would be a cool accomplishment and would also help to get things moving if they haven't been already. Before I was pregnant I ran the equivalent of a 5K a few times a week, so it'll be interesting to see how much more difficult it is with a full-size baby attached at the belly.
