This morning we had our first big, fat, false alarm and it STUNK!
I had been feeling pretty crampy all night, and I woke up at 4am with a really painful contraction and feeling nauseous. I started timing my contractions and for the next three hours they were consistently coming 4-8 minutes apart, nothing super painful, mostly tightening and mild cramping. When it was obvious I wasn't getting sleep any time soon, I got up to take a shower and that's when I noticed that I had gotten my "bloody show" (I'm having flashbacks to Jared asking about this in labor class). At that point I decided to call the doctor, and they said it sounded like I was in the early stages of labor, and that I should call back when the contractions got stronger or closer together. For the next few hours the timing remained consistent, and of course, the minute Jared and I decided that he better not go into work and that we'd take a walk to get the contractions to come on stronger, they suddenly stopped. So, after 6 hours of consistent, close together contractions, everything just stopped dead in its tracks. It's now been about an hour that I haven't felt anything besides Braxton Hicks, so it looks like baby decided to hold out on us a bit longer :( Jared decided to go into work for a few hours and wrap up some things he needed to get done, and I'm looking forward to seeing my Dad & Stacy this afternoon and *hopefully* something will pick back up again before my induction on Monday. I'd love to go into labor on my own!
Stay tuned...
