Today marks ten weeks, and the baby should weigh less than a quarter of an ounce. Then can someone please explain to me why I’ve already gained 4 pounds?? I have been hungry 24/7 and I haven’t been ignoring any cravings because I know our peanut is growing so quickly and will double in size in the next few weeks. S/He and I need the energy!! J
Today was fun, as I got to spend some time with the nurse manager at our hospital, and she answered all of my 10,000 questions with a smile. She also delivered the good news that all of my blood tests came back perfect, and better yet, I’m Rubella immune, so one less shot I need to get! Whoo-hoo! And the BEST part of today was learning that Jared is officially on kitty litter duty for the next 30 weeks, as changing a little box can expose me to a bacterium that is harmful to the baby. Score!
Fun fact of the week: Baby Schneider now sports a functioning digestive tract capable of producing bowels (eww) and s/he has already developed defense mechanisms to protect them on reflex!
