Looking forward to 26+ long weeks of pregnancy ahead of me, I can't help but think about the things I miss most, which I've had to sacrifice as a pregnant woman. The following is my "top 10" list:
10. Bras that fit (I guess I just need to go shopping)
9. A flat tummy
8. My energy to stay up past 10:00pm
7. A bladder that can hold more than 1oz of pee
6. Beer...especially fall beers....yum
5. Diet Coke...no wait...Coke Zero
4. Sushi
3. Soft Cheeses (brie...blue...feta...my favorites!)
2. Caffeinated Coffee...my life blood
1. WINE!!!
Yes it will all be worth it, but you better believe that I am packing a picnic for the hospital that includes ALL of the above, and it WILL be broken out upon delivery!!
I would highly rec getting a (or more) nursing tank top. I'll be needing some in 4 months anyways, why not get one sooner. I got two at Babies'r'us for $25 each. They are SO compfy, they do not have underwire and um grow with you...belly and boobs! I wear them in place of a bra most days and everything seems to be "holding up" just fine.
ReplyDeleteDon't be afraid to sneak sushi in, once in a while! My doctor/supervisor had a conversation with two of my pregnant co-workers, and myself, about eating fish while pregnant. He said it's totally fine in moderation. You're clearly not eating seafood everyday during every meal, so it shouldn't affect you. And with the amount of seafood that's in sushi most likely contains little to no mercury (depending on what kind of fish you're eating).
