This year had been, by far, the most memorable Christmas we've had.
On Christmas Eve, Jared and I attended mass at the Cathedral of St. Patrick in Charlotte, and later had another wonderful steak dinner at the Beef & Bottle (our new favorite).
Christmas morning Jared woke me up at 7:30 by handing me the baby's "gender envelope" - it's pretty funny that the person who wanted to keep the sex a surprise was literally as excited as a kid on Christmas morning to find out. So we got up, made some coffee, eagerly opened the envelope, and were excited to confirm (to everyone's suspicions) that we are having a baby BOY!! We are both beyond thrilled to welcome a son into the world, and are already fantasizing about the fun things we will do together and what he will be like. Now, we just need to start narrowing down names :-/
I promise, this is the first and last time I will embarass my son by putting a picture of his penis on the internet, but I have to share our pride & joy:
Here is a sneak peak of our fun moment this morning:
After the excitement subsided, we exchanged gifts, had a great brunch, skyped with family, and watched our new Christmas movies in our PJs. We missed being with our family this year, but this was definitely a Christmas for the memory books. We hope everyone else had a fun, safe and blessed Christmas as well!
