Babymoon = Booked!

Jared and I have a fun weekend to look forward to starting this Friday... we're headed to Savannah, GA/Hilton Head Island, SC for St. Patrick's Day!

I didn't realize how HUGE St. Patrick's Day is in Savannah until I was trying to book hotels this morning and found that every single hotel was completely booked. After talking to some hotel clerks, I discovered that Savannah hosts the 2nd largest St. Patrick's Day parade in the country! So, we're planning to stay on the beach in Hilton Head, which is about a 35 minute drive from Savannah, and drive into Savannah EARLY Saturday morning for the parade at 10:00am. After that, we might stick around for lunch and to watch the crowd start to get rowdy on green beer, but since I can't appropriately take part in the festivities we'll probably head back to Hilton Head for an afternoon on the beach. Thankfully the weekend forecast is 78 and sunny...let's hope it stays that way!

Hopefully I can stand the 4hr drive down without being too uncomfortable, as sitting for long periods of time is starting to hurt. Last night we went to see Act of Valor (great movie, by the way), and halfway through the movie Jared was asking what was wrong with me because the only way I could be fairly comfortable was by sitting completely straight and erect in my seat. Oh well...I'll tolerate some pain for a last weekend of freedom & fun as a party of 2!
