Update

The doctor come in at 8am just as they were starting pitocin, and I had progressed to 2-3cm overnight! He was ready to break my water, but decided to give my antibiotics more time to set in (which I need since I tested positive for strep B). I've now been on pitocin for an hour and a half, which have definitely helped to strengthen the contractions and make them more consistent. They are now about 2-3 minutes apart, but I'm tolerating the pain OK so far. This is the only time in my life when I've felt thankful for my horribly painful menstrual cramps, because this pain feels very similar, however I'd prefer this pain because at least it goes away after 30-60 seconds! I'm sure I'll be singing a different tune in a couple of hours though. The doctor gave me the OK to have the epidural as soon as I need it, but I'm going to hang out for awhile and wait until the pain is to the point where I can't take it anymore.

Jared fell asleep on the couch. He had a horrible night sleep last night so I'm letting him get some zzz's before I wake him up with my screams of agony :)
