A Memorable Memorial Day Weekend!

This past weekend Aunties Amy & Lindsey flew to Charlotte to meet Layne, and we had SUCH a blast!! We kept the weekend pretty relaxed and enjoyed low-key activities like taking long walks in Freedom Park, boutique shopping, treating them to our favorite local restaurants, grilling on our rooftop patio and watching movies. Layne was a good sport all weekend and joined us for everything, and Amy and Lindsey had a good time loving on him and getting a little training on daily life with a kid.

One of my favorite parts of the weekend was getting to enjoy a night on the town with my sisters - not only was it the first girls night out for me since August, but it was the first time that us three were able to go out to the bars together since Lindsey turned 21 last May. It was also the most time I've gotten to spend with my sisters since we all lived together at Mom's house...I almost forgot how much fun they are to hang out with! :) It makes me even more excited to move home (if that is even possible).

And to top it off, Amy & Linds volunteered to babysit on Saturday night, and let Jared and I enjoy a date night out. And what do we do? Go to see Night Ranger at a free outdoor concert in Uptown as part of the Memorial Day Speed Street festival. "Motorinnn..."
