Showers Galore!

This weekend was the weekend of showers! Jared and I made the treck to cold & snowy MN on Thursday for an awesome 4 day weekend filled with family, friends, fun and showers of wishes and gifts for the baby. He is super spoiled already, as there are so many people who already love him.

Friday night started the festivities with a girlfriends shower hosted by two of my besties, Alisa and Lindsay. The theme of the party was "Little Man", so the house was decorated with mustaches, ties, and the color blue! The theme was adorable and they did an awesome job - it was so nice to (FINALLY) get to hang out with all my closest friends and it was fun to see all of the cute clothes these women picked out for our first little man!

Saturday afternoon was a shower hosted by my amazing sister-in-law and mother-in-law for Jared's side of the family (how I got lucky with such awesome in-laws who feel more like my own family, I will never know). It was a brunch shower so we enjoyed quiche and mimosas (well...virgin for me...except for the sip of the real thing I accidentally got...which was worth it! yum! :) As you will see, the decorations were adorable, and you could tell this shower was thrown by party pros!

And finally, Sunday morning my mom and sisters threw a shower for the O'Rourke women and friends at my mom's house. This was another beautiful brunch shower and my mom made her famous egg bake (yum)! The house looked awesome and as always my mom had every last detail thought out. It was so nice to get to see my family one last time before the baby comes and to hear all of their motherly advice!

And on top of all the baby shower fun, I got to attend my good friend Amber's bridal shower as well! Bonus!

It was a busy and memorable weekend that I felt a little emotional leaving behind. It was weird to say goodbye to people knowing that next time I see them I will be a mom - it is the end of an era, and the beginning of a new chapter.
