I just got back from a great 37 week appointment to check on our...gulp...full term baby! He is still head down with a strong heartbeat (150), and I still have good blood pressure and weight gain (32lbs). The doctor checked my cervix and said it was soft but not yet dialated at all (sorry...maybe TMI), so her guess is that the baby will come around his due date if not after. I know a lot of women are ready to "be done" with pregnancy at this point, but I'm happy to know there's a good chance that I still have about 3 weeks left to prepare. She said that if I don't go into labor naturally about 7-10 days after my 4/16 due date that they will induce. We could have an anniversary baby after all!
Preparations around the house are going well and we have everything unpacked, cleaned & put away for his arrival. The freezer is currently JAM PACKED with easy-prepare food thanks to a few meals I made, some General Mills samples, and the Omaha Steak gift package that was sent to us by my amazing team at work!
This has been a busy week at work for both Jared and I, so we're both already looking forward to the weekend. Hope everyone else is having a good week!
